What you may do
Use the results to plan a mailing, and show them to the person who asked, credited to MailScout by The Standard Press. Keep the source line that comes with each result.
What you may not do
- Copy results in bulk, or call the app systematically to collect counts, route outlines or prices for areas nobody asked about.
- Resell, republish or license the results, or present them without credit to The Standard Press.
- Use the results to build or improve a competing mailing database, map or service.
- Use the results, or the app’s answers, as training data for a machine-learning model.
- Try to get around the app’s limits, or use it in a way that harms the service or other users.
We may limit, block or switch off access at any time, including for use that looks like scraping.
The results
Counts, route maps, prices and delivery times are estimates. Counts come from Canada Post route data and our address data and change with each Canada Post drop; prices are before tax and are confirmed by The Standard Press when you order; delivery times are Canada Post’s published standards, not guarantees. The app is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows, The Standard Press is not liable for decisions made from its results. Orders are governed by our Direct Mail Terms.
Ownership
MailScout, its counts as compiled, its route maps and its prices belong to The Standard Press and its data suppliers, including Canada Post and Statistics Canada. These terms give you no other rights to them.
